About Musculoskeletal Injuries
-
Musculoskeletal Injuries (MSI) refer to damage of muscular or skeletal systems, which is usually due to strenuous activity. In other words, MSIs are any injury that affects the bones, muscles, ligaments, nerves, or tendons resulting in pain.
-
MSDs or Musculoskeletal Disorders involve disorders and diseases which impact the body's mobility or musculoskeletal network of muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
Musculoskeletal injuries have a high prevalence, making them the most common form of injuries globally.
The following are the most prevalent causes of musculoskeletal injuries:
Aging (wear and tear develops with passing the time and degeneration process)
Accidental damage consists of doing the same thing again and over, poor posture, and heavy lifting
Poor lifestyle, lack of healthy fitness, and diet habits

There are at least seven different types of elbow disorders. Read on to learn about their symptoms and causes.
Medial epicondylitis
Lateral epicondylitis: Symptoms such as pain or burning occur along the outside of the elbow. You also may experience problems with gripping.
Olecranon bursitis: Swelling, pain, and difficulty moving the elbow
Osteoarthritis: Pain, difficulty bending the elbow, a locking sensation in the elbow, a grating sound during movement, and swelling
Ligament strain and sprains: Pain, joint instability, swelling, the problem with the range of motion
Dislocation or fracture: Visual changes to the elbow, inability to move the joint, pain
Osteochondritis dissecans: Pain and tenderness on the outside of the elbow, trouble extending the arm, and a feeling that the joint is locking could indicate this condition.
The Treatment Journey

The backbone is a structure that supports your body and allows you to walk, bend, and move around. The rest of the musculature helps maintain balance and movement of the trunk. The spine, often known as the backbone, is the major support component of the body. It joins the various sections of the musculoskeletal system together. Injuries of the back, spinal cord disorders, and certain other issues might harm the spine and result in back discomfort.
Treatment includes:
Medications: back pain requires prescription drugs as this pain is not easily treated with OTC NSAIDs
Physical therapy: using transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, heat and cold therapy, therapeutic ultrasound to the muscles of the back and connective tissue, and other myofascial release methods can effectively relieve pain
Complementary therapies: shiatsu, yoga, and chiropractic can relieve back discomfort
Surgery can be fusion, surgical removal of vertebrae, and discectomy

Stem Cells are the natural repair process of your body parts. SCs are present in our fat cells, bone marrow cells, and in this case, we use Mesenchymal Stem Cells from donor cord blood. If you place the stem cells over the area of damage, then these cells can lead to the activation of new and healthy cells. This healing process is what our body needs. Stem Cell Therapy helps boost body repair mechanisms and introduces new Stem Cells.
-
Musculoskeletal Injuries and disorders impact the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints that make up the musculoskeletal system. OA, tendonitis, osteoporosis strains, and even sprains are all common musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses. Inflammatory response, tiredness, discomfort, restricted range of motion, and full loss of mobility are all common symptoms of musculoskeletal problems.
Stem Cell studies and discoveries are contributing to better non-pharmacologic therapy options for MSIs-related pain. These treatments can lessen the necessity of repeated drug administration and offer long-term benefits by enhancing patient satisfaction and lowering healthcare expenditures.
Stem Cell Therapy provides promising and exciting new options for musculoskeletal pain therapy. In order to minimize damage and improve musculoskeletal pain conditions, Stem Cells generate and release a wide variety of cell regulators as growth factors. Innovative stem cells are used in stem cell treatment which is competent to establish new cells for replacing the older ones.

When antibodies or cells destroy the body's cells, it is termed an autoimmune disorder. A lot of autoimmune diseases impact the body’s structures as connective tissues, cartilages, and bones.
Connective tissues play a fundamental role in the musculoskeletal system.
In the case of the elbow, the most prevalent autoimmune disorder is rheumatoid arthritis. RA is an autoimmune disease that affects joints causing discomfort, stiffness, and inflammation. Joints may also seem red, hot, rigid, and sensitive in these conditions.
Following are a few more autoimmune disorders that affect elbows:
Osteoarthritis
Psoriatic arthritis
Elbow bursitis
Lupus related arthritis
Tendonitis
Epicondylitis
Olecranon bursitis
How is the treatment at The Renue Medical Centre different?
The Stem Cell Therapy (SCT) at The Renue Centre is a holistic approach to treating Musculoskeletal Problems.
Your Renue Journey treatment for Elbow Repair with Stem Cells consists of four phases:
Pre-treatment: You will take our Renue Epigenetic Test powered by TruDiagnostics that will assert your biological age and other important health markers. Your TruDiagnostics test is part of The Renue Difference. It provides your doctor with critical information about your health and your true age (biological vs. chronological). After the epigenetic test and we have received all your medical records, your Patient Advisor will assist you in planning your travel to Puerto Vallarta.
Treatment day: On the treatment day, a specific amount of blood is taken through apheresis to activate the stem cells for administration. A total of 25 million umbilical cord-mesenchymal Stem Cells are inserted through the IV route.
30, 60 & 90 days follow-up: To check for flare-up frequency, improvements, pain, and irritation.
Six months after treatment: Lab tests, flare-up frequency, clinical evaluation, mobility, quality of life, and prognosis

Significance of Hyperbaric Chambers post-treatment:
Three sessions of Hyperbaric Chambers will be beneficial because:
Pain, stiffness, and inflammation will be reduced
It increases the number of white blood cells in the circulation, which helps with fast recovery and reduces infection
It boosts circulation and blood flow at the site of injection
Increases the amount of oxygen delivered to the body's tissues, preventing ischemia and necrosis
It provides enhanced collagen growth and an improved repairing process
Expected Results
SCT to live a better life: Benefits and outcomes
The effectiveness of Stem Cell Treatment can improve all your symptoms, causing a considerable impact on your quality of life and daily activities.
As part of The Renue Difference, you will receive three Hyperbaric Chamber sessions that greatly improve SCT efficacy and stimulate the body cells to treat MSIs in the Elbow. These sessions comprise three days: one day before treatment, after treatment, and on the day of treatment.
According to results, clinical outcomes, and pre and post-treatment observations, SCT has been shown to help
Reduce MSIs progression
Speed up tissue repair
Regrow and repair tissues after six months
After the SCT procedure, an MRI test depicts the further need for the treatment at a specific body site.
Talk to our Patient Advisor to learn more about SCT at The Renue Centre.
Expected results and prognosis:
Several forms of elbow pain caused by traumas, including ruptured tendons or ligaments, fractured elbow bones, or an elbow sprain, have been effectively treated with Stem Cell Therapy.
However, the prognosis of Stem Cell Therapy consists of three phases:
In the first week after therapy, patients feel an instant reduction in pain, rigidity, and inflammation.
With stem cell therapy, the patient's mobility of the affected elbow will improve in the next couple of months.. Pain-related to mobility and movement will also reduce to a great extent.
Finally, in 6-months, cellular changes will start regenerating new cells, mobilize damaged cells, and improve the condition. A patient can get independence due to full gain of range of motion.
FAQ’s
